More Progress on Our Summer of Purpose

Since I last blogged about our summer plans, I have finalized plans for two family getaways, signed up the kids for two VBS weeks (one at our church and one at our school), chosen Five In a Row (FIAR) as our guide for Growing in Wisdom, decided on a Bible Reading Schedule for the boys, brainstormed a list of field trips and activities, tweaked the daily schedule, began working on a weekly schedule and talked with the boys about our theme verse to get their input and ideas.  Below I've scratched out my additions and tweaks, linking to some ideas I found on Kat's blog- Inspired to Action.  (Last week got by without my time to think, plan, write, dream so I made sure to take 90 minutes to work on this on Monday morning- no easy task as the frenzy of the end of the school year has begun.  But as I am endeavoring to make self care a priority, I simply scheduled the time in and the work had to wait!)

Summer Theme Verse:
"And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men."  Luke 2:52

Oh, thank you for your kind words, Trisha! Writing all of this out helps me to organize it all- keeping it all in my brain just stresses me out. I do wonder whether others would be interested in all my details so I am glad to see you were :)
